Changed script blocking=off, restarted Brave, tried BitWarden, and the captcha appeared. Repeated tests with script blocking alternating off/on, and the captcha either showed/didn't show, corresponding to the script blocking setting.

Then copy and paste those credentials into the web vault first to verify that they are correct. If successful, copy and paste the exact same text into the browser extension to see if that works.
